Data science is a field that intersects with many other disciplines. A good data scientist needs to have an excellent understanding of computer science as well as mathematics and statistics and this knowledge has to be adapted to the specific problem domain.

During our engagements with the Bureau of Meteorology, Geoscience Australia, the Department of Energy and the Environment, CSIRO, the South Eastern Sydney Area Health Services, the University of New South Wales, the University of Sydney, and the Australian National University we have brought our data science skills into areas as diverse as psychology, hydro-geology, epidemiology and ecology.

We have built data pipelines that include R-Servers, Spark Streaming, Spark Machine Learning, various Python Libraries, the Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) and more. We pride ourselves in our ability to engage with other professionals in a collegiate way and we are always looking for a way to help, even when to help means we need to educate ourselves.
